What to expect
Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. Once you arrive, we will discuss your reasons for coming in, along with any goals you hope to achieve out of your treatment. Following this I will further assess any areas of concern or injuries that have been bothering you, and develop a plan for your treatment that day. I will then explain to you what areas I am planning to treat and why, along with tell you what my focus of the treatment will be. We will discuss this together to ensure you feel good about the proposed treatment plan and comfortable during your massage. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions that you may have and select music that you would like to listen to during your treatment. Following this I will leave you to undress to your comfort level and get settled on the massage table.
During treatment, I will check in with you to find a comfortable pressure that meets your needs and requirements. Your comfort and peace of mind is my top priority during treatment. Allow yourself to relax, unwind and enjoy your massage!
After treatment
Following Massage Therapy it is normal to feel a bit sore, very relaxed and possibly a bit tired as well.
Applying heat to the areas that were treated and some gentle stretching is recommended post massage. Ensure you have a well balanced meal and stay hydrated following your treatment. Please note that unless you are coming in for sports massage therapy it is not recommended to exercise following a massage.
HOW TO PREPARE
Wear comfortable clothing and ensure you are properly hydrated before treatment. If possible , arrive a few minutes early to ensure you have time to rest and relax before your treatment begins. Please refrain from wearing any strong perfumes, and refrain from taking any strong pain medications, or consuming alcohol, cannabis, or other mood altering drugs.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy at Harmony Massage and Wellness. You will receive email confirmation reminding you of your scheduled appointment within two days of your appointment. I kindly ask that any appointments that need to be changed or cancelled are done outside of the 24 hour window leading up to your appointment. As spots fill up quickly, this will allow me to fill your appointment time. In the case that you do cancel on the day of your appointment and this spot is able to be filled, you will not be charged for your missed appointment.
